These pages will give you all you need to know about the adult knockout competitions on offer in England.

There is a whole host of competitions on offer ranging from hockey's equivelant to the FA Cup - the Men's and Women's Cup - which is open for any 1st XI in the country to enter, to the Men's Vintage Cup for those over the age of 50 but who are still holding a hockey stick!

The Trophy and Vase competitions offer the opportunity for 1st XIs outside of the Slazenger England Hockey League and the Premier Divisions of the Regional Leagues to play against teams of a similar level to themselves.

There are also national contests available for the 2nd XIs of clubs with two bands of competition which level the playing field in terms of ability.

Then there are the Veterans and Vintage Competitions.  The Men's Veterans Cup is open to teams made up of over 40s and the Men's Vintage Cup is for the over 50s.  There are Plate competitions attached to both Cups meaning that teams who lose in Round One get the opportunity to continue their quest for a national title.  The Women's Veterans Cup is a round robin tournament which is open to the over 35s.
