2017-18 National Finals

The 2017/18 National Schools Championships for Boys will take place on the 23rd-26th April 2018, at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre & Old Loughtonians Hockey Club. The U14 Finals will be on the 23rd April, with the U16 & U18 Finals taking place on the 24th- 26th April.

The U14 and U16 Finals

Two schools will progress from each county to the regional round and two schools will progress from the regional round to the national finals/knockout stages.

From the five regions (East, Midlands, North, South, West), ten schools will progress to the national stage of the competition. Each region's winner will qualify for the national finals; the runner up from last year's winning region will also qualify. The final four runners up will play off for the final two places, making a total of 8 teams at the national finals. 

The U18 Finals

For the 2017-18 season the Boys’ U18 Schools Cup will run as knockout competition with a parallel plate competition for losers in the first two rounds. The last four teams in the Tier 1  Competition will play the semi finals and final at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre The last four teams in the Tier 2 competition will play the semi final at Old Loughtonians Hockey club with the final taking place at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre.

Tickets will be available for the finals at the following prices: 

One Day Ticket
Adults: £7:00
U18: £2:00

Two Day Ticket (U16 & U18 only)
Adults: £12:00
U18: £3:00

Please note there is strictly no parking on site for spectators, parking is limited and is reserved for teams and officials only.

Via Bus
Several bus routes connect Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre with Stratford and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. 308, W15, N26 all stop outside Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre and 97,339, 388 and N205 all run through Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and stop nearby.

Local Car Parks
We highly encourage you utilise the public transport options to get to the venue, but if you would like to park, the nearest car park to the venue is Westfield Stratford, which is within a 20 minute walk to the venue. 

Food & Drink
Only food and drink that has been purchased from the Venue may be consumed within the Venue. For reasons of medical dietary requirements, please email for approval.
Empty drinking containers are permitted on site and all the taps at the centre contain drinking water.
