The draw has been made for the quarter finals of the Investec Women’s Cup following the round three ties played at the weekend.

Sutton Coldfield's Jane Sixsmith during their Investec Women's Premier Division game at Polo Farm, Canterbury, Kent, 5th November 2011.The noticeable draw of the round will be an all Investec Women’s Premier Division tie between University of Birmingham and Sutton Coldfield, for whom former Great Britain Jane Sixsmith (right) has been in fine form this season. The students had to rely on a golden goal from Sarah Page as they booked their place in the last eight with a 1-0 win against fellow Investec Women’s Premier Division side Olton & West Warwicks on Sunday. Sutton Coldfield made it through to the quarter final midlands derby with a more comfortable 5-2 win over Team Bath Buccaneers; Celia Butler scored two of the goals.

Elsewhere, there will be a familiar feeling as two Investec Women’s Conference East sides, Sevenoaks and Surbiton, line up to face each other in the Investec Women’s Cup. Both teams are going strong in the league with Surbiton top and Sevenoaks in third place. And both made in through the previous round comfortably with Sevenoaks winning their Kent derby 3-0 against Maidstone while Surbiton beat Oxford Hawks 4-1, with Chloe Strong scoring all four Surbiton goals.

Chelmsford, who defeated Gloucester City 2-0, will hope to cause an upset when they travel to Investec Women’s Premier Division side Clifton, who won 3-0 against Liverpool Sefton, whilst Buckingham have been drawn away to Doncaster. Buckingham, flying high in Investec Women’s Conference West, defeated Brooklands Poynton 2-1 on Sunday thanks to a late goal from Sam Sandham.  Doncaster made it through with a convincing 5-0 victory over Boots.
