U16 Boys' Schools Championship Round Up

U16 Boys Schools Whitgift 2017

Whitgift were crowned the U16 Boys’ Schools Champions after beating Reeds 3-0 in the final at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre.

Whitgift didn’t waste any time and after only 3 minutes on the clock Adam Bambroffe took the lead for his side. Reeds fought hard but Josh Gracestock extended the score in the 20th minute. Just after half time Bambroffe got his second furthering the lead finishing the game 3-0 to Whitgift.

Altrincham Grammar took third spot in a thrilling penalty stroke competition against Dean Close. Both sides got on the score sheet early in the first half, goals from Oscar Newcombe and Ben Entwisle making it all level on the final whistle. Altrincham won 4-3 on penalty strokes.
