Jaffa Super 6s gets under way!

Surbiton Super6s
The road to the Copperbox begins today as the Jaffa Super 6s get up and running in both the men’s and women’s Premier Divisions.

Last year’s winners Slough open their campaign on Saturday against Reading and then East Grinstead who have added some gold dust to their squad.

Olympic gold medallists Helen and Kate Richardson-Walsh have been registered for the East Grinstead squad. Helen has been playing club hockey for Cambridge but an appearance for Kate would be her first competitive appearance on home soil since leading Great Britain to gold in Rio!

Runners up Canterbury play Holcombe on Saturday before facing Leicester on Sunday in their opening fixtures.

The ten sides will battle it out across two weekends with the top four progressing to the finals which will be played at the Copperbox Arena on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Sunday 28 January.

In the men’s competition champions Surbiton face Wimbledon and last year’s runners up East Grinstead in their opening fixtures as they begin their title defence.

Defeat in the 2017 final brought to an end East Grinstead’s run of eight consecutive titles and will be desperate to take back the crown.
