Team of the Week
Nominations have once again come in from up and down the country, here is your Team of the Week! Thank you once again for all of your fantastic suggestions.

The stories behind those selected include a 75-year-old playing on his birthday and a player making their 100th appearance for their club on the same day Alex Danson made her 100th appearance for Great Britain!

Goalkeeper:

Name: Aiden Mylroi
Club: Sevenoaks HC
Nomination: Aiden was nominated by the team he played against as he put in a fine performance to keep a clean sheet against Canterbury. All at the age of just 14!

Defence:

Name: Jo Horvath
Club: Felixstowe HC
Nomination: Jo played for both the 3rd and 2nd XIs, helping both teams to victory and leading the defence in both matches. 

Name: Tony Jones
Club: Canterbury
Nomination: We often celebrate young players making an impact but on his 75th birthday Tony turned out for Canterbury!

Name: Abby O'Neill
Club: Doncaster HC
Nomination: Abby was nominated for being ‘an absolute warrior’ in defence this weekend. Solid tackling with nothing getting past her! Two player of the match performances in two games! 

Midfield:

Name: Kate Atkinson
Club: Plym Valley
Nomination:  13 years old and playing some outstanding Hockey for Plym Valley Ladies 3rd XI Scored a cracking goal this weekend.

Name: Ewan Dodson
Club: Devonport Services
Nomination: At only 14 years old Ewan is going from strength to strength and putting in fantastic and mature performances each week. A goal, an assist and voted player of the match in Devonport’s top of the table victory against OPMs!

Name: Lucy Allen
Club: Duchy HC
Nomination: Lucy brought up her 100th game for Duchy in a 7-0 win, earning player of the match with three assists and a goal!

Name: Charlie Weems
Club: Urmston HC
Nomination: Charlie was man of the match in Urmston’s 15-0 win, the second biggest in their club’s history. He was everywhere in midfield and grabbed a rare goal of his own!

Attack:

Name: Lucy Scott 
Club: Reading
Nomination: ‘Goal machine’ Lucy netted four timed for Reading while leading from the front in their cup tie.

Name: Steve Workman
Club: Sonning HC
Nomination: Steve scored his first goal for Sonning men’s 3rd XI in over 4 years. It was the first game the men’s 3s have won in over 18 months. A day to savour for the team and Steve’s goal will live long in the memory!

Name: Stuart Clark
Club: Northampton HC
Nomination: Stuart netted four times in his side’s 6-3 win over North Staffs, including three in the first half!
