IMHA World Cup Report Barcelona - English teams as hot as the weather

Amazing success at the IMHA World Cup in Barcelona.

English Masters’ squads finished their World Cup campaign bringing home five golds, two silvers and three bronze medals from the eleven squads that competed.

Gold success went to the Women’s 035s in their first event beating Australia 1 – 0 in a tight final. Gold also for the Women’s 055s who also beat Australia in a shoot out after drawing 1 – 1. The golds just kept on coming as the men’s 040s beat the hosts Spain 3 – 2 in a thrilling game. The final World Cup Gold was won by the Men’s 055s who had a convincing win by 3 – 0 against Germany.

The women’s 060s crowned an amazing season with their third gold medal of the year winning the Women’s 060s invitational event. They beat everyone in their competition; which included Australia, New Zealand and The Netherlands to claim the gold medal.

Silvers for the Women’s 045s, Men’s 035s and bronze for the Women’s 040s, Women’s 050s and Men’s045s completed a tremendous competition for the English teams.

The results this summer at both the WGMA and the IMHA World Cup events have been staggering winning a total of 9 Golds, 4 Silvers and 3 Bronze medals.
