Investec Girls School Champs - Web Edit
Repton School completed a remarkable clean sweep at the 2019 Investec Girls' Schools Championships by winning the U16 and U18 Tier 1 titles on the third and final day of this year's event.

Their U18s took the trophy back to Derbyshire for the fourth consecutive year after a closely contested final against Millfield, with Imogen Hatton's 61st minute goal enough to secure the win.

That came just a couple of hours after their U16 team won their event with an impressive 3-1 victory over Godolphin & Latymer. Claudia Swain and Ellie Barlow put their side two goals ahead in the first ten minutes before Katharina Haid secured the title in the 58th minute after Amelia Hales scored for G&L shortly before half-time.

Elsewhere Canford came out on top in the U18 Tier 2 final thanks to captain Martha Taylor, who scored a dramatic penalty corner winner in overtime to beat Norwich School 2-1.

And in the final game of the day Queens School, Chester collected the final trophy with a 5-1 win over Altrincham Grammar to secure the U16 Tier 2 crown, with Lucy McBurney scoring twice.

Thank you to all the teams, supporters, officials, Hockey Makers and staff who made the event happen. It was a thrilling three days of action.
