England Draw With Scotland in Second Practice Match

England came from behind to salvage a draw against Scotland at Belle Vue in Manchester today.

Scotland had taken an early lead after a penalty corner effort from Catriona Forrest was deflected in off the stick of England defender Sam Quek but Alex Danson restored parity 15 minutes later with a reverse stick strike.

England won 4-1 in the first match on Saturday, thanks to goals from Kate Walsh, Kerry Williams, Hannah Macleod and Nic White.  Scotland had brought the game back to 2-1 through Ailsa Robertson before Macleod and White netted to take the game beyond the visitors.

England’s women will next be in action in two fixtures against Spain on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June 2009 at Highfields Sports Club in Nottingham.
