Damage Limitation for England in Netherlands

Maartje Paumen scored four times and England lost goalkeeper Beth Storry to a shoulder injury as they went down 5-0 to the Netherlands on day two of the EuroHockey Nations Championships.

Despite the scoreline, Head Coach Danny Kerry declared that he was relatively happy with the performance and insists that limiting the Dutch to five goals was fairly good after they scored ten against Azerbaijan the previous day

England lost their impressive goalkeeper Beth Storry to a shoulder injury with ten minutes remaining and had to sustitute her with defender Sally Walton as reserve goalkeeper Becky Duggan watched on from the stand after being named as one of the two players not included in the matchday squad.
