News - DBS Cost Change

From 1st September 2018, the cost of a DBS will be increasing to £7.50 for volunteers.

Welcome to SafeD – England Hockey’s Safeguarding Young People Policy and Guidance documents. 



SafeD replaces Proud to Protect and has been updated to reflect current legislation and best practice guidance.

The 2018/19 'Call to Action document is now available to view by clicking on the link above. It contains a number of minimum standards for clubs to sign up to in regards to the Welfare of players under 18 years old. The document shows what the requirements are and contains useful links that will show your club how to meet each requirement. Once your club meets the requirements, the completed document can be sent to Stuart Thomas so that he may send you a poster that you club can show on your website and/or facilities. 

'Play it Safe' Newsletter
The Ethics and Welfare Team release a regular newsletter called 'Play it Safe'. It contains useful information in regards safeguarding, useful links from other organisations and updates on the latest training opportunities. If you wish to receive 'Play it Safe', please email Stuart Thomas along with the email address that you wish the newsletter to be sent to.
