About the Euro Hockey League
The Euro Hockey League (EHL) replaced the men’s European competition at the start of the 2007/08 season. In Europe, club hockey is at the heart of the sport, with the EHL being the top European hockey competition. It aims to promote and reinforce the status of club level hockey and provides the big European clubs with more opportunities to play each other on the international stage.
24 clubs are divided into eight pools of three and over a period of three days, each club will play the other two in their pool. The top two teams in each group will progress to Round 2 (KO16) whilst the club finishing third in each pool is eliminated from the competition. From then on, each round is a straight knock-out competition.
