Supplement - a product used alongside diet to enhance general health, well being or sporting performance.
Supplement products can pose a significant risk to athletes as it is not possible to provide a 100% guarantee that any supplement does not contain a prohibited substance.

Athletes and support personnel should be fully aware of what supplements are, what the risks associated are and how the risks can be minimised. Many supplement products do not display or describe all ingredients contained. Contamination can occur in production as well as fake products being made available online.
