What are the changes for 2018/19?
There are no significant changes to the Under 14 and Under 16 Championships. The format in these Championships will remain the same as last year, with Under 14 Tier 3 Development offering the opportunity for continued progression at 7-a-side hockey.

There is however, an additional Tier in this seasons Under 18 Championships as we have introduced a Tier 3 competition. This means that strong, serious, competitive clubs can enter Tier 1 (for which Tier 2 will be a Plate for early round losers). But you may prefer to enter directly into the Tier 2 - which wasn't allowed in 2017/18.

This has been introduced this year to allow smaller clubs to merge and create one team that might not be as competitive or serious as their rivals in Tier 2. The Tier 3 Championship will act as a plate for early round losers that entered directly into Tier 2. The Under 18 format is now very similar to that of the popular Masters Championships at O35, O40 and O50 level. This will mean all teams get two matches in the knockout Championships.
