We are recruiting for a Head of Legal and Governance to join our Finance & Administration directorate.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a high performing governance team to ensure that England Hockey is legally compliant and has sound governance systems in place.  An influential leader who is able to inspire and develop good governance throughout the sport of hockey.

We are looking for individuals with strong leadership skills who are able to work collaboratively with the wider directorate and take ownership of the areas of Governance, Legal Compliance and Support, Ethics and Sport Compliance and Risk Management.  You will need to have an excellent understanding of governance, compliance and legal issues in sport, experience of developing and implementing policies and procedures and a good knowledge of formal and informal disrepute resolution.  The role requires an exceptional sense of integrity, the ability to build trust and confidence, outstanding communication and negotiation skills and an excellent sense of judgement.

Non-Executive Director
England Hockey is recruiting for a member elected Non-Executive Director to join the England Hockey Board.

We are committed to progressing towards achieving gender parity and wider diversity of our Board, which represents our membership, and to that end we are particularly keen to receive applications from female candidates who are able to demonstrate the relevant skills and experience outlined below.

In order to enhance the skills and experience of the current Board, nominations are welcomed from candidates with a legal background, broadcasting and corporate marketing and/or expertise in government relations.

Whilst offering specific skills, all NEDs should:
• Have the intellect to see the ‘big picture’ but also be able to focus on detail when necessary.
• Be experienced in the workings of large complex organisations.
• Have a passion for and knowledge of sport and ideally hockey.

Recruitment of Vice-President
England Hockey is inviting nominations for the role of female Vice-President to be elected to England Hockey at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting in March 2021.

The primary role of the Vice-President is to support the President in their duties and in doing so strengthen the reputation and profile of England Hockey both domestically and internationally. The successful candidate should have significant inter-personal skills, a reasonable amount of free time, particularly at weekends, and have a passion for the sport and all its participants.
