Participation Project Officer - Closing Date: Monday 8th October, 2018

England Hockey is recruiting for a Participation Project Officer to join its participation team.  With responsibility for carrying out project management and delivery tasks across a range of participation programmes and campaigns, the Participation Project Officer will work proactively with colleagues across all levels of the organisation.  The successful applicant will play a key role in ensuring that the internal product and programme processes associated with contracts, equipment, marketing and promotional materials, activators, coaches and IT are executed efficiently and effectively.

We are looking for individuals with a proven track record of successful project management, with experience of developing and delivering successful programmes to meet customer needs, achieving sales and programme targets, managing budgets  and working in partnership with public and private sector bodies and external agencies.

If you have the relevant experience, the ability to think creatively to deliver multiple projects simultaneously, high level facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills, and can demonstrate high energy and a can-do attitude, we would love to hear from you.

Ethics and Welfare Officer -  Closing Date: Wednesday 10th October 2018

England Hockey is recruiting for an Ethics and Welfare Officer to play a key role in all team activities, which includes safeguarding young people and adults at risk, inclusion and diversity and anti-doping.  Working with and supporting our volunteer network of Welfare Officers, the Ethics and Welfare Officer will champion inclusion and diversity and drive initiatives to create a safe and positive environment that encompasses all aspects of safeguarding, ethics and anti-doping.

With opportunities to lead on specific projects, deliver education and training and help to create a culture that is young person centred, we are looking for individuals with excellent interpersonal skills, creative project management skills and the ability to influence and negotiate.  We are particularly interested in those individuals with a passion and commitment to safeguarding, diversity and clean sport, who can help the Ethics and Welfare team make a real difference.

The EIS, in partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University and England Hockey is offering an exciting MSc Studentship opportunity to a dynamic, self-motivated individual committed to a career in Performance Analysis. Alongside their studies on the MSc Professional Practice (Sport Performance Analysis) postgraduate course, the successful candidate will engage in an industrial placement with England Hockey, spending time learning alongside EIS Performance Analysis practitioners within the World class programme. This studentship does not require attendance at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

The English Institute of Sport & England Hockey will provide full sponsorship of the course fees for the 2018/2019 academic year.

Studentship Placement Overview

  • Time: The MSc will be a full-time commitment and it is anticipated that the successful candidate will have a contact time equivalent of 4 days per week with England Hockey. It should be noted that the nature of the placement is likely to require attendance during evenings, at weekends and bank holidays 
  • Location: The candidate will be based predominantly out of Bisham National Sports Centre EIS, however the nature of the placement may require you to travel to other sites within the UK and potentially internationally. 
  • Duration: The studentship will start from September 2018 and last for a maximum of one year.
