For many players, being part of a club that has a local presence is really important.  This could be simply by fundraising for local charities or creating a link with schools. Local connections are also critical for attracting players and sponsorship.
During the COVID 19 pandemic it is difficult to do these things but you can still raise awareness by supporting your local community.

Many clubs are doing what they can to raise funds for national and local good causes, here some great ideas from some of these clubs.

You can also sign up free to easyfundraising, where you can raise money for your club when you and your supporters shop online with 4000 retailers!
Highlighting keyworkers
Do you have keyworkers in your club, on the front line supporting the country and leading the fight against COVID 19? Why not shine a spotlight on the work they are doing and say thanks in your own unique way.

Here is a list of some of the amazing work done by you!

Contact your local Active Partnership to find out about support in your community.

Sunday 26 April was due to be the Virgin London Marathon, which raised £66.4m for charities in 2019.  The impact of its postponement has had a devastating effect on charities and so the 2.6 challenge came about, for people to raise money for local charities.  The idea is to do 2.6, or 26, of an activity.  This can be anything from running 2.6 miles to holding an online workout with 26 friends.
