Coaching

Welcome to the England Hockey Board's coaching pages, dedicated to supporting coaches, tutors and assessors providing opportunities for all those wanting to play, coach, tutor and assess hockey in England.

The England Hockey Board is the lead Home Nation in the GB strategy Group that includes England, Wales and Scotland.   It has been regarded as a leader in the field of coaching for a number of years and was the first sport to gain UKCC (UK Coaching Certificate) endorsement at Levels 1, 2 and 3 in November 2006.  The qualification of tutors, assessors and verifiers and coach award process is regarded as exemplary.  Hockey is one of the first seven sports to pilot the new Level 4 coach award and to gain endorsement to deliver level 4.

It is also one of seven sports that have been given Trail Blazer One status in the building of the UK Coaching Framework for the processes in place to develop players, coaches and a UK Coaching System.
