Women's World Cup 2010

The Women's World Cup will be held in Rosario, Argentina from 29 August - 11 September 2010.


The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has announced the pools for the BDO FIH World Cup women, to be played in Rosario, Argentina from 29 August-11 September 2010.

After Australia qualified as the 12th and final team, the twelve participants were allocated into two pools of six teams each based upon the latest ABN AMRO World Rankings.
England’s women will play in Pool B of the tournament where they will meet the hosts and winners of the 2009 Champions Trophy Argentina, Beijing Olympic silver medalists China, European rivals Spain, Korea and South Africa.
England Women Team TalkOlympic Champion and defending World Cup holders  the Netherlands are the top seeded side in Pool A. The Dutch will meet Germany, Australia, Japan, New Zealand and India in the pool matches.
The teams ranked first and second of each pool after the single round robin preliminary phase will proceed to the semi finals. The FIH will release the match schedule in the coming weeks. Please click here to be redirected to the FIH website.
