All Hockey Clubs in England are required to affiliate to England Hockey in order to participate in local, regional, national and international hockey fixtures (including friendly, league and knockout competitions).
A Hockey Club is defined as any group or association providing hockey participation opportunities, including Colleges and Universities participating in mainstream hockey leagues and knockout competitions.

What can clubs expect once they are affiliated?
The EHB affiliation fees, together with income from other sources, is used to deliver the Uniting the Hockey Family strategy.
Affiliating to EHB gives your club access to:

- Over 40 different organised and managed competitions for clubs and teams to compete in

- Regional support offices - staff with local knowledge to help support your club on issues relevant to you
- Safeguarding guidance and templates to make it easier for clubs to provide a safe environment for children, helping you to protect young people and your club

who help raise the standards of hockey and ensure a more enjoyable playing experience - Easy to understand, fair and transparent player pathways, from picking up a stick for the first time through to representing your country in hockey

Renewal Information
Log in's to Fixtures Live will be sent to club Secretaries / Liaison Officers in the middle of August. Affiliations need to be completed online and returned to us by the deadline of the 30th September. All affiliations must be completed online.
New clubs will need to email membership@englandhockey.org with their details, and we will set your new club up on Fixtures Live.
How do we affiliate online?
Via fixtures live, but a button will be on the homepage of the EHB website from Mid August, taking the club to the correct area. All club administrators will be automatically emailed a log in and password for access.
Can new clubs affiliate online?
Yes, email membership@englandhockey.org with the new clubs details, and a log in will be sent to you.
The first year affiliation is free for new clubs.
Do clubs have to complete it all at once?
No, you can save it and come back to it.
Liability Insurance
Recent high profile cases have demonstrated the need for all sports organisations to have full and appropriate legal liability insurance. EHB has negotiated a policy for affiliated clubs, and full details of the cover can be downloaded here, or please call Perkins Slade on 0121 698 8056 for more information. Insurance must be for a minimum of £5m and must be Public Liability Insurance. Some clubs may also have a need for Employers Liability Insurance.
