Emily Defroand

Having been inspired whilst watching her heroes win Olympic bronze at London 2012, Emily is now following in their footsteps as a fully fledged international player.

Just a few months after making her senior international debut, she was part of the England side that won 2017 European before picking up another medal of the same colour at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Success isn’t novel to Emily though, having won several Investec Women’s Hockey League titles with Surbiton and both the BUCS League and Cup titles while studying at the University of Birmingham.

Furthermore she was also voted the 2012 Hockey Writers’ Club Young Player of the Year and also won the 2014/15 Investec Women’s Junior Performance Player of the Season title.
