Joie Leigh

One of several players who gained her first GB cap against Germany at a series of training matches before gaining her first England cap against South Africa, Joie got started with hockey at school. Always quite sporty, tennis was originally her sport of choice (playing it to a national level) before hockey proved a more appealing prospect due to the bond and buzz of playing in a team. Joie's a Geography graduate from the University of Bristol and plays her club hockey for Clifton. Despite her connections with the west, she has not forgotten her northern roots and is a big fan of Yorkshire Tea.
