Club Coach

Berkswell & Balsall Common Hockey Club is friendly club based near Coventry. We play our matches at Bablake Schools Playing Fields in Coventry and train at Warwick University. We have a welcoming, sociable atmosphere, and are looking for a coach to help drive performance and develop players.

We have 3 men’s teams and 2 ladies teams playing in the Midlands hockey league, and a thriving juniors’ section from ages 8-14 of various abilities.

Training is at Warwick University, with ladies’ and juniors’ training on Tuesdays from 19:00-20:30, and men’s training on Wednesdays from 19:00-20:30.

What we are looking for:

• A confident, enthusiastic person
• Minimum level 2 qualification
• DBS certificate or eligibility to apply
• First Aid Trained
• Experience both playing and coaching hockey
• Experience of coaching both adults and juniors would be desirable

We are primarily looking for a coach to plan and deliver our men’s training sessions on Wednesdays and provide support to assistant coaches who will deliver ladies’ and juniors’ sessions. You should have regular contact with captains to discuss training plans and player development.
