Head Coach for Ladies 1st XI
Old Cranleighan HC South West London / SurreyOld Cranleighan HC Ladies 1st is looking for an experienced Head Coach.
OCHC is a club that focuses on hockey excellence and opportunity for all within a family and community-led environment. We strive to be recognised as a club for our quality coaching and inclusivity.
Our Ladies 1st XI enjoyed 3 promotions over 5 years and are currently in the London Premier League. After several changes over the past three seasons, the team are looking for a coach to help nurture them, as well as developing them for the future.
We’re looking for a passionate and skilled coach to become part of our team. The right candidate will bring enthusiasm for the sport, solid coaching experience at this level or beyond, and the ability to inspire and energise players.
Key Responsibilities:
● Design, coordinate, and lead a structured training program for the performance squad.
● Be present at all 1st XI training and matches, including indoor.
● Develop and execute game plans, strategies, and tactics.
● Offer insightful feedback and guidance to help players refine their skills and improve performance.
● Cultivate a supportive and inclusive team culture.
● Track and assess player growth and development.
● Work closely with fellow coaches to maintain a unified coaching philosophy across the club.
● Confidently manage discussions with players regarding team selection and changes.
● Foster a highly competitive and driven environment.
● Using video for post game analysis.
Qualifications:
● Prior coaching experience at a comparable level.
● Appropriate coaching qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or equivalent, safeguarding, first aid, etc.).
● Strong communication and people skills.
● Capability to engage and support players across different age groups and skill levels.
● Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive team environment.
Remuneration
To be agreed with the successful candidate, and will be dependent upon experience.
