One of the greatest hockey coaches this country has ever produced, Danny took charge of the England and GB men's squads in late 2018 after more than a decade of unprecedented success coaching the women's teams.
Having taken charge in 2003, Danny led the teams on a remarkable run of success that saw them win at least one medal every year between 2009-2018. That list includes the incredible Olympic gold won by GB's women in 2016, which followed on from a similarly incredible triumph for England's women at the 2015 EuroHockey Championships.
His first games in charge of GB's men came at the 2018 Seoul Anniversary Internationals - 30 years on from one of Kerry's favourite hockey moments - before he took England to fourth at the 2018 Men's Hockey World Cup. Under his stewardship, GB's men then reached the first ever FIH Hockey Pro League Grand Final weekend in 2019 and will be hoping to take them to a first Olympic medal since 1988 at Tokyo.
