Head of Juniors
Stone Hockey Club Stone, StaffordshireStone Hockey Club are recruiting a Junior Hockey Head Coach to lead the development and growth of the club's junior programme.
The role will focus on improving the quality of coaching delivery, developing clear coaching structures and expanding participation through outreach into our community.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping both the current and future direction of the junior section at the club.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic development and delivery of the club's junior section,
- Oversee a coaching programme for volunteer coaches,
- Improve the quality and consistency of coaching delivery within the junior section to ensure alignment across the club,
- Support the growth of the club's junior section,
- Manage junior fixtures, festivals and tournaments,
- Support player development pathways with other senior leaders at the club from grassroots to performance level,
- Work in colloboration with the Head of Hockey and all appropriate senior leaders at the club to support develop the annual hockey programme,
About you:
- Have a good understanding of the junior hockey framework,
- Embed the golden thread principles into your sessions and can support fellow coaches to do the same,
- You have a positive attitude and create a fun learning environment,
- Proven experience in coaching, with a preference of having a level 2 hockey coaching award or equivalent, or willing to work towards,
- Strong leadership and organisational skills,
- Ability to provide leadership to a team of coaches,
- Passionate about junior hockey and developing young players,
The specific coaching schedule will be discussed with the candidate, but flexibility is required to support the junior hockey programme at the club which will include weekends and evenings.
