Men's England Hockey League 2012/13

Reading's Richard Mantell in action for his club in the Men's England Hockey League 2011-2012
The 2012/13 Men’s England Hockey League divisions have been announced.

Following a season competing in the Conferences North and East respectively, Brooklands MU and Canterbury have regained promotion to the Premier Division.  The two sides finished in the top two of the Promotion Tournament in April to secure their return back into the elite division whilst University of Exeter and Team Bath Buccaneers missed out.  As a result, both will compete in the Conference West next season. Firebrands make a return to the Men’s England Hockey League following relegation in 2008-09 and will also compete Conference West.

Bowdon will compete in the Conference North division following their relegation from the Premier Division and are joined by Khalsa and Wakefield, who have been newly promoted from the Midlands and North regional leagues. Bromley and Beckenham retained their Conference East place having finished first in the relegation play-offs; their new opponents this season come in the shape of Cambridge City and Richmond after campaigns that ended in promotion from the East and South regional leagues.
