England U16 Boys enjoy good Ulster challenge

England U16 Boys battled hard against Ulster in their three match series which the sides eventually drew 1-1.

England put in a stunning second half display in the first match to come back from a 2-0 deficit with goals from Ollie Harper, Tom Stevenson and Alex Pendle completing an amazing comeback.

In the second encounter it was England and Ulster cancelled each other out in a highly entertaining game which eventually ended in a 2-2 draw. Pendle was on target once again and Ellis Robson also found the net.

In the third and final match Ulster fought back from 2-1 down to run out 4-3 winners. Prentice, Stevenson and Pendle again were on target for England.

England’s heach coach said: “Playing these three games against good opposition has been another key stage in the playing squad's development and we have a few weeks to work together to further improve before the final fixtures and Six Nations.”
