Vice chairman of Reading Hockey club Liz Spencer is ready for the challenge ahead; ‘Here at Reading, we really enjoy cup competitions as it is a different type of challenge. It is a chance for us to play teams outside of our league, region even! From the likes of Jersey to travelling up North, it is great to play these teams and meet new hockey people.’

‘This is a great competition to introduce to our juniors; we have entered both tiers of competitions across all age groups as it gives them a different competitive feel of winner takes all.’

We’re challenging clubs to see if they can enter as many teams as our current leaders Reading. With lots of playing opportunities available thanks to the new tiered system, there’s a real chance clubs could enter 16+ teams, will you be one of them?

Any team can enter the England Hockey Championships. There are four tiers in the Adult Championships with each tier capped based on which league your side play in, making for more even games and less one sided affairs.

Once you have registered your teams, remember to make sure you enter them into the competition! Your club secretary will have the login details for you to enter your team into the competition.

Deadline for entry is Sunday 17th September - for more info click here.

Due to the extended deadline, please note that the scheduled round of matches on 17th September will no longer take place. The Adult Championships only will start on the second scheduled fixture date.
