Notts Sport Boys' Schools Championships - Finals Preview

Notts Sport Boys' Schools Championships
Having swept the board last year, Whitgift once again have a chance of claiming three titles at this year’s Notts Sport Boys’ Schools Championships.

However they will face a severe test from schools across the country during the event, which takes place between 23 – 26 April at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre as well as Old Loughtonians HC.

Whitgift’s U14 side has been drawn in Pool A of their competition – alongside Felsted, Altrincham and Uppingham – while St. Georges, Sherborne, Bromsgrove and Perse will battle it out in Pool B.

Altrincham and Whitgift also meet in Pool A of the U16 competition and are joined by Stamford and Rugby, while Pool B consists of Cranleigh, Dean Close, Repton and Perse.

While both of those competitions will be taking place at Lee Valley on 23 and 24 April respectively, the U18 Tier 1 and 2 tournaments will be contested just a few miles away at Old Loughts over the next two days.

Dean Close and Repton will face off once again in the semi-finals of the Tier 1 competition, while Oakham and Whitgift will battle it out for the other final berth. Details of who will feature in the Tier 2 semi-finals will be confirmed shortly.
