Nominations have again come in from up and down the country in the club world from teams in the north, south, east and west!

Every weekend teams can nominate their standout performers from all levels of the game for England Hockey's Team of the Week.

TOTW 2018/19 Round 9

Name: Peter Dickinson
Club: Norwich Dragons
Nomination: Peter saved a penalty stroke and made numerous amazing saves, including three in quick succession as the forward tried to lift the ball over him!


Name: Matthew English
Club: Whitley Bay and Tynemouth
Nomination: Matt scored two goals from right back for his team in their victory. A great performance despite fragile hamstrings!

Name: Gaston Hawes
Club: Cambridge City
Nomination: Gaston had an incredible game, breaking down attack after attack against a very strong opposition. Gaston won Player of the Match for the first time since joining the club three years ago. No-one tackles like Gaston!

Name: Kitty Chapple
Club: Clifton Robinsons
Nomination: At just 16-years-old Kitty played for the 1st XI in the Investec Women’s Premier Division and produced a Player of the Match performance stepping in at centre back for the first time in Clifton’s win over Buckingham.


Name: Lucy Brown
Club: Southport
Nomination: Lucy had a stormer of a game at right midfield, not letting the opposition get past her and constantly setting up goal opportunities for the team, helping them to a 6-1 win!

Name: Helen Hodgson
Club: Newcastle Hockey
Nomination: Helen scored two goals for Newcastle Hockey Ladies 1s on Saturday to help them win 6-0. Helen then scored again on Sunday for Newcastle Ladies O35s, captaining them to a 2-0 win and being awarded our player of the match.

Name: Ellie Steeden
Club: Oxted HC
Nomination: Ellie had an outstanding game, covering every inch of the pitch and running herself into the ground to help Oxted Ladies 2s win three valuable points.

Name: Lily Owsley
Club: Great Britain
Nomination: Taking part in the 2018 Women's Champions Trophy, Lily put on the GB shirt for the first time since helping the side to Olympic Gold in 2016! She was a constant threat against China and scored a stunner, firing an unstoppable shot into the top corner!


Name: Johnny Kilhams
Club: Chertsey Thames Valley
Nomination: After missing a couple of games Johnny came back with a bang to score twice and help his side to a much needed 4-2 win, one an ugly scrap and the other a cultured flick into the bottom corner.

Name: Bexx Woods
Club: Doncaster
Nomination: Bexx scored a well composed hat-trick of great goals and caused the defence havoc all day with her skills!

Name: Paul D'Souza
Club: Sheffield Uni Bankers
Nomination: Paul scored two fantastic penalty corner goals to ensure a 2-2 draw against title contenders in their division.
