How did Buckingham get to the Finals?
Impressive early victories over Clifton (6-1), Beeston (3-1) and Leicester (5-3) were to prove vital for Buckingham as they clinched fourth place – and the final qualification spot – in the Women’s Premier League table on goal difference from Clifton.

Who will they play in the semi-finals?
It’s a tough draw for Buckingham as they face defending champions Bowdon Hightown when the day gets underway at 10:30. However they will take heart from a narrow 2-1 loss to their counterparts during qualification and will be confident of overcoming them on the biggest stage.

Qualification goalscorers
Alex Naughalty and Rebecca van Berkel (both 5), Lauren Thomas and Natasha James (both 4), Katrina Nicholson and Abbie Brant (both 3), Zoe Shipperley, Lottie Porter and Maddie Newlyn (all 1)

Players to watch
Rebecca van Berkel and Alex Naughalty have formed a fearsome strike force, with both netting on five occasions during qualification.

With Steph Tirrell between the posts, Buckingham also conceded the fewest goals during qualification (17) and will certainly be hoping their resilient defence makes them a hard side to get the better of at the Finals.

Did you know?
Like Hampstead & Westminster’s men, Buckingham will be appearing at the Finals day having only been promoted to the Women’s Premier Division this season.
