Cup Holders Reading Drawn Against Tulse Hill & Dulwich

Following this weekend’s Men’s Cup first round fixtures, the draw has been made for the second round which will see England Hockey League teams enter.

Tulse Hill & Dulwich’s victory on penalty strokes against Banbury is rewarded with a visit to face current holders and seven times winners of the cup Reading.  Beeston, who have made the final in the last two years, start their cup campaign with a home match against West Bridgford Monarchs who reached this stage with a bye.  The other EHL Premier Division clubs to enter the cup have also avoided EHL opposition.  Bowdon and Brooklands MU will play home ties against South Nottingham and Preston respectively, with Hampstead & Westminster drawing Firebrands and Cannock drawing Neston South Wirral, both away.

There are just two all EHL matches in the second round, one of which will see Sheffield Hallam Civica travel to Belper, both of whom play in the Conference North Division.  In the other, Old Loughtonians will travle to Canterbury, both of whom won their opening fixtures in the Conference East Division this weekend.

There are a total of 22 matches where non-EHL teams will have the chance to cause an upset against EHL opposition and eight that will see non-EHL teams go head to head.

The draw in full can be seen below.  All matches will be played on Sunday 4 October.
