Following the conclusion of the Promotion and Relegation Play-Offs in April, the NOW: Pensions Men’s Hockey League divisions for the forthcoming 2013/14 season have been announced.

Wimbledon and Sheffield Hallam who were successful in the Play-Offs at Reading are both promoted to the top flight for the first time. They replace Brooklands MU and Southgate who are relegated to the NOW: Pensions Conference North and Conference East respectively.

In the NOW: Pensions Conference North Deeside Ramblers return after a season’s exile in the North League and are joined by newcomers at this level, West Bridgford who took the Midlands title. Preston who finished at the foot of the table are relegated to the North League along with Doncaster who were unsuccessful in the Relegation Play-Offs. Doncaster lose their national league status for the first time having been founder members of the league in 1988.

St Albans return after two seasons’ absence and they line up in NOW: Pensions Conference East after clinching the East league title. Brighton & Hove are promoted from the South League whilst Cambridge City retain their place thanks to a successful Relegation Play-Off tournament. City of Peterborough were relegated but with Southgate also joining the East Conference from the NOW: Pensions Premier Division Indian Gymkhana move to the West Conference.

In Conference West Isca celebrate their centenary with a return to the league for the first time since relegation back in 2000 after promotion from the West & South Wales League. 2012-13 champions Cardiff & UWIC stay at this level after an unsuccessful Play-Off campaign. Fellow Welsh side Whitchurch are relegated along with Bristol Firebrands
