Venue announced for Euro Hockey League KO16-Final Four

James Tindall in action for Surbiton

Following the conclusion of the first round in the 2013/14 Euro Hockey League championships England’s full contingent of clubs, Surbiton, Beeston and Reading will battle it out alongside 13 of the best clubs in Europe at Easter.

The Euro Hockey League (EHL) and the European Hockey Federation (EHF) announced on Monday that Oranje Zwart MHC in Eindhoven (NED) will host a truly unique KO16-Final Four double from 16-21 April next year. As the title suggests this will be a knock-out event, running across six days and as the teams are whittled down it will eventually lead to the crowning of the new European champions.

It is the first time in EHL history that the KO16 and Final Four events have merged, a decision which was taken to aid player preparations for the 2014 Hockey World Cup which takes place in The Hague later in the year.
