Back to Hockey success!

It’s been an amazing year for Back to Hockey with over 280 clubs running sessions and more than 2,500 players taking part.

Back to Hockey sessions are fun, sociable and informal and are aimed at people who either haven’t played hockey for a number of years or who are looking to play for the first time.

Our first campaign took place in the Spring and generated a national buzz around Back to Hockey. There was a lot of media coverage surrounding the campaign, including features on the BBC, airtime on Heart FM as well as clubs writing their own pieces which featured in regional press. One of our favourite items was from Wedges and Weights fitness blogger, Hannah Mills, who produced a video of her visit to a session at Alderley Edge Hockey Club. You can see how she got on here.

After the success in the Spring, we launched Back to Hockey sessions specifically for men in the Autumn. It was great to have lots of new clubs deliver sessions, along with welcoming many back from the spring. @MrBLCade took part in a Back to Hockey session at Southgate HC and summed up his experience perfectly in this tweet;

"@EnglandHockey I took part in BtH campaign and had an absolute blast. Most fun I have had in ages. Thanks to all @SouthgateHC"
