Teams each have three home and three away games in their pools and are responsible for setting the dates of their fixtures.

In recent years the Boys U18 Championships were in a knockout format and the Girls U18 Tier 1 competition will be this format in 2018-19 with a view to it moving the league format next season.

Over 100 Schools have entered the Investec Girls U18 Schools Tier 1 Championships. Teams play in three areas up to the quarter final stage when the draw will go open. Teams who lose in the Preliminary or Round 1 or Round 2 play in the Tier 2 Championships a parallel Plate competition.

The Investec Girls U16 Schools Tier 1 & Tier 2 Championships will follow the same format, you can see the draws for those Championships here.

In both of the Girls U18 & U16 Tier 1 Championships, for 2018-19 only, South schools are playing  in the traditional County – Regional format and qualifiers will join at the latter stages of the competitions.

For Boys Schools who want to only play in the Easter term the Notts Sport Boys U18 Schools Tier 2 Championships will run, as in recent years, in a knockout format. Teams who lose in the Preliminary or Round 1 or Round 2 play in the Tier 3 Championships, a parallel Plate competition.
