England Turn Things Around Against Dutch

England came from behind at the break to inflict a third tournament defeat on the Netherlands this evening as goals from Surbiton's Richard Alexander (2) and Reading pair Simon Mantell and Jonty Clarke turned things around and keep alive England's hopes of a medal contest on Sunday.

Alexander gave England the lead early on but they were pegged back soon after only for Simon Mantell to score his 25th England goal midway through the half.  Again the Dutch responded to take it to 2-2 before Mink van der Weerden put them ahead before half time.

Despite waves of Dutch pressure England kept a clean sheet in the second half and goals from Jonty Clarke and then Alexander again turned the score on its head.

England survived unrelenting Dutch pressure late on to pick up their first win of the tournament with just one pool match remaining.
