Talent Academy – Tender Applications Open for 2027-28

England Hockey is delighted to share more information about the application process and timeline for new organisations aspiring to host an England Hockey recognised Talent Academy from June 2027 in Kent, North Yorkshire and the Northwest of England.  

The closing date for organisations to apply to host a Talent Academy is 20th December 2026. 

There has been a huge amount of progress and learning since Talent Academies were introduced in 2022 and individually and collectively the Talent Academy programmes have grown and developed. 

Talent Academies began delivery with seventeen club hosted and four England Hockey led programmes. Over time this network has grown to 24 with three of the original England Hockey led Academies now run by local clubs. 

England Hockey is looking to make an initial one –year award to the end of the current licensing period in June 2028.  

The re-licensing process for all TAs for June 2028 onwards will commence in late 2027. Our intention is that any club awarded a license to commence delivery in June 2027 will have the opportunity to continue to host in the next licensing period subject to satisfactory reviews and progress.
