Every registration fee is an investment in the stability, safety, and growth of our sport. By using a model where costs are shared equitably across the community, we provide a level of support and protection that strengthens every club and empowers every player.
Below is a breakdown of how your membership works and how it empowers the game today.
A Collective Resource for the Whole Sport
By pooling our contributions, we have created a collective resource: protection that covers every player, a toolkit that equips every volunteer, and a shared investment to make hockey more visible, relevant, and accessible for everyone.
The Player Registration Fee
The annual player registration fee is added to individual members subscriptions by clubs and breaks down to just £1.29 a month for an adult - less than the price of a coffee.
The Club Fee: Supporting the Network
The Club Fee contributes to the essential overheads, administration, and leadership required to run the sport effectively across the country.
- Increased Efficiency: Under this model, the Club Membership Fee has been reduced from £239.75 per team to £175 per team (including VAT).
- Public Liability: Clubs retain the option to include Public Liability insurance as part of their fees if desired.
- Governance: Any significant changes to fees remain subject to approval by clubs at the England Hockey AGM.
