The Hockey Show

In the December 2011 edition of The Hockey Show from TalkHockeyRadio we visit the new blue and pink Olympic hockey pitch and get the first impressions of GB midfielder Helen Richardson.

But in this month’s edition the main focus is on the clubs.  We talk to Lichfield’s Jo Nightingale about their struggle to establish themselves in the Investec Women's Conference West and we also interview Guildford skipper Mike Rippon.  Slough women have had a disappointing first half to the season and we speak to their coach Royce Waters

After a couple of seasons in the doldrums, Cannock are back with a vengeance, but South Premier League side Brighton & Hove did not make life easy for them when the two sides met in the cup. We have interviews with Cannock’s Andy Mitchell and Brighton’s Ant Falcus

East Grinstead have a super new sponsorship deal and hope to host a round in next season’s EuroHockey League. Antonia Richards was there at the announcement and has a report. Great things are happening at Surbiton, particularly to their women’s 1st X1.  We get some words of wisdom from their Director of Hockey, Brett Garrard, and hear about their charity which aims to get hockey into more schools, ‘Suburban Hockey.’

It’s all in the December edition of the Hockey Show, which can be downloaded from
