England Hockey AGM

England Hockey's AGM was held on Tuesday 26 March at Bisham Abbey; the following items are of note. Full Minutes will be posted soon.

Simon Mason stood down from his position as President after a three year term (see separate article).  Chairman, Philip Kimberley, praised his excellent work and thanked him for his contribution.

David Whittle stood down from his position as Vice President (male) (see separate article) and the Chairman thanked David for his contribution over the past 2 years.

Sue Bodycomb was appointed President and Chris Todd was appointed Vice-President.

The following ordinary business resolutions were approved:

  1. To approve the Directors & Auditors reports and audited financial statements to 31st August 2011
  2. To re-appoint, and authorise the Directors to determine the remuneration of the Auditors
  3. To approve continuing free affiliation for new teams for a further 4 seasons and increase the affiliation fee by 1.5% for the 2013/14 season.
  4. To approve  a Special Resolution to amend the Articles of Association of England Hockey to introduce a means of dealing with a tied election result
  5. To approve a Special Resolution to amend the Articles of Association of England Hockey to confirm male and female Vice-Presidents
  6. To approve a Special Resolution to amend the Articles of Association of England Hockey to reflect the merger of County Schools and Youth Associations into the County Hockey Associations
  7. To approve a Special Resolution to amend the Articles of Association of England Hockey to allow the introduction of independent directors.
