The draws for the NOW: Pensions Men’s knockout competitions have been made. With ties regionalised at this stage of the competition there are some very interesting looking games with Conference North sides Sheffield Hallam and Doncaster paired together whilst in the South, Conference West meets Conference East as Fareham play host to Brighton. Holders Cannock have been handed a home tie with Bromsgrove and last season’s runners-up Brooklands MU will start their campaign at home against Ben Rhydding. Marlow, who knocked out NOW: Pensions Premier Division side Canterbury last season will hope for more of the same as they travel to Surbiton in search of another upset.

In the Men’s Trophy, holders Guernsey will travel to Basingstoke, who were runners up in last year’s Vase competition. Banbury, who Guernsey beat on penalties will be aiming to go one better this time and will face Eastcote first up. There is an interesting tie in down in Kent, too: Old Bordenians and Gore Court, bitter rivals from the same town renew hostilities in the knock out format as well as facing each other in the league.

Camberley and Farnborough, the current Vase holders will begin the defence of their title at home to EUHC Gamblers London, whilst the 2011/12 runners up Cleevillians make the trip to Chippenham.

The 2nd XI Cup draw has also taken place with Southgate, the current holders drawn at home to Kent side Burnt Ash in the first round. Last year’s runners-up, University of Birmingham meet Loughborough Town whilst Teddington, winners two years ago will start the road to Lee Valley with a home clash with Newbury. There is further intrigue as Holcombe and Lewes will meet, just as they do in the NOW: Pensions Men’s Cup.
