The return of Back to Hockey

Run by clubs, Back to Hockey sessions are fun, sociable and informal, and aimed at people who either haven’t played hockey for a number of years or who are looking to play for the first time. Last year over 2,500 players regularly attended a Back to Hockey session, with more than 275 clubs running sessions.

Running from the week commencing 11 May to 15 June, the campaign will allow us to create a buzz about Back to Hockey nationally and drive new players to clubs! It promises to be bigger and better than last year.

We are also linking with This Girl Can, which is a celebration of active women up and down the country who are doing their thing no matter how well they do it, how they look or even how red their face gets.

Clubs taking part in the campaign will receive brand new marketing materials to help maximise local promotion of their sessions. We will provide your coaching team with ideas to help them deliver fun and engaging sessions, and also offer you tips on how to retain players once the campaign has finished.

Back to Hockey sessions can benefit clubs in a number of ways and take a look at our graphic below to see a few examples.

How to be involved!

Clubs, if you want to be a part of the campaign speak to your Relationship Manager whose contact details can be found here.

Or if you’re a player who’s interested in picking up a stick again, you can find your nearest Back to Hockey session here.
