From a goalkeeper making two penalty saves in one game to a 15-year-old scoring the winner on his league debut, this side is filled with inspiring stories.

Name: Hayley Marron
Club: Redcar Hockey Club
Nomination: Hayley played for both Redcar ladies 1st XI and Redcar men’s 2nd XI making saves from penalty strokes in both games!


Name: Emma Dunn
Club: London Wayfarers Ladies 1st XI
Nomination: Emma made her return to hockey after five months out from injury and got on the score sheet twice on her come back.

Name: Candice Bowers
Club: Pucklechurch Hockey Club
Nomination: Candice is new to the game and put in a solid and confident performance. Her team mates noted that she wasn’t scared to call for the ball and was involved in some great team moves.

Name: Giselle Ansley
Club: Surbiton Hockey Club
Nomination: Giselle was on the score sheet twice in Surbiton’s 2-2 draw with Canterbury. Ansley’s goals had put Surbiton into a 2-1 lead but a late Canterbury strike levelled the scores.


Name: Howard Middleton
Club: Rochford Hockey Club
Nomination: After travelling to support his son, Howard found himself filling in for his team as they were short and better still got on the score sheet.

Name: Adam Dixon
Club: Beeston Hockey Club
Nomination: Adam was making his first appearance since resigning for Beeston and was named Man of the match as they drew their opener with Wimbledon.

Name: Harvey Alecock
Club: Carlisle Hockey Club
Nomination: 15-year-old Harvey played his first ever league game at the weekend and netted the winner in a 4-3 victory for his team.


Name: Neil Gokcen
Club: Southport HC
Nomination: Neil had never picked up a hockey stick before the weekend but when Southport were short of numbers he stepped up and played up front! 

Name: Emma Nokes 
Club: Neston Hockey Club
Nomination: Strikers dream of scoring hat-tricks. Emma at Neston though took this a bit further as she netted a hat-trick in each half of their match!

Name: Paddy Tripp
Club: Surbiton Hockey Club
Nomination: Paddy scored twice for Surbiton to keep his record going of scoring in over 50 consecutive seasons! 

Name: Alan Forsyth
Club: Surbiton Hockey Club
Nomination: After ending as the Men’s Hockey Premier League top scorer last season, Alan got off to a flying start with a hat-trick against Canterbury to start the season in style.
