Tales from the weekend have been pouring in once again and here is your England Hockey Team of the Week!

Nominations include impressive debuts, sublime scoring and comebacks as well as a Hollie Webb style celebration!

Name: Jacob Hole
Club: Weston-Super-Mare Men’s 2nd XI
Nomination: 14-year-old Jacob made his adult league debut on Saturday for Weston-Super-Mare and made a string of fine saves which saw him named man of the match.


Name: Phoebe Williams
Club: Newquay Ladies
Nomination: Phoebe made her debut for Newquay at the weekend and marked it with a stunning strike also defending brilliantly at right back despite not being sure about playing in the position!

Name: Ed Ide
Club: Sheffield Bankers HC 7s
Nomination: Ed is a club stalwart and held the team together at the back as well as unleashing a power hammer penalty corner to get his side back in the game.

Name: Luke Taylor
Club: Surbiton 1st XI
Nomination: Luke made his home debut for Surbiton and marked it with four goals at Sugden Road, helping his new side to a strong 6-2 win over Sevenoaks.


Name: Nathan Reeman
Club: Bournemouth HC Men’s 4th XI
Nomination: Nathan made his men’s league debut at the age of just 13 on Saturday, lining up alongside his Dad he got on the score sheet and made an assist in their 6-1 win.

Name: Angelina Harkus
Club: Spalding Ladies
Nomination: 14-year-old Angelina made only her second appearance for the ladies and was named player of the match, it was also her first time playing in the centre of midfield.

Name: Andrew Ho
Club: Horley 1st XI
Nomination: Andrew hadn’t played hockey until six months ago and he was named man of the match in a 4-0 win, mainly due to his tireless running throughout.


Name: Dave Flanagan 
Club: Brooklands
Nomination: Dave Flanagan was twice on the score sheet as Brooklands edged out East Grinstead in a 4-3 thriller!

Name: Sally Hoyles
Club: Long Sutton Hockey Club
Nomination: Sally scored her first goal for the club after joining through Back to Hockey and celebrated like Hollie Webb during the Olympic final in Rio!

Name: Anna Stable
Club: South Lakes HC
Nomination: Anna scored an incredible 8 goals on her return to hockey after having her baby and unsurprisingly picked up player of the match!

Name: Hannah Martin
Club: Surbiton 1st XI
Nomination: Hannah played a key role as Surbiton raced to a home win over Clifton Robinsons. She notched up two classy goals and was a constant threat with her skill and pace.
