Team of the Week
Stories from the weekend have poured in once again and here is your England Hockey Team of the Week. Thank you for all of your nominations!

This week includes youngsters making big impressions in adult hockey and a striker netting four times!

Name: Elise Todd
Club: Carlisle HC
Nomination: A clean sheet for Elise after making a brilliant save from a penalty corner in the final minute 0-0, her fourth ever league game


Name: Paula Nicholas
Club: Woking HC
Nomination: Paula stepped up to captain the side at the last minute and scored two goals, including a 67th minute flick to equalise! 

Name: Justine Leach
Club: Wolverhampton & Tettenhall HC
Nomination: Commanding at the back for her defence and inspirational in her determination and true grit

Name: Jeremy Watt
Club: Spalding HC
Nomination: Jeremy put in a defensive masterclass with his amazing passing display and topped it off with a goal. His nominator explained how he has helped the younger members of the team to learn and develop 


Name: Charlie Packham
Club: Old Cranleighans HC
Nomination: Last weekend Charlie missed a penalty flick and vowed never to take one again. However when they were awarded another on Saturday he stepped up and put it away. His nominator highlighted Charlie’s work rate in midfield and praised how he puts his body and heart into every game he plays 

Name: Maisie Sullivan
Club: Long Sutton HC
Nomination: Maisie made her second senior appearance on Saturday at the age of 13 and was named Player of the Match. Her Dad nominated Maisie, commenting that she now has more awards than he has at the age of 45!

Name: Matt Bartlett
Club: Yardley HC
Nomination: Matt moved into central midfield on Saturday despite normally playing as a centre defender. He got on the score sheet and assisted another in a brilliant performance!


Name: Ellie Emo
Club: Clifton Robinsons
Nomination: 17-year-old Ellie scored for Clifton against Canterbury in only her second National League match and put in a performance which saw her named Player of the Match

Name: Arjan Drayton-Chana
Club: Surbiton HC
Nomination: Arjan scored a eye-catching goal from a tight angle in Surbiton’s 2-1 victory over Wimbledon to help maintain their 100% start to the season!

Name: Phoebe Hughes
Club: Weston-Super-Mare HC
Nomination: 14-year-old Phoebe made her first team debut having only started playing adult hockey this season. She was on the score sheet and was also named Player of the Match.

Name: Michael Watt
Club: Hampstead & Westminster
Nomination: Watt netted four times in Hampstead & Westminster’s impressive 7-0 victory over Canterbury which sees them rise to third in the Men’s Hockey League Premier Division
