We need you! Become Ball Patrol at the World Cup

ball patrol Champs Trophy
Applications have now opened to volunteer and become a member of the Ball Patrol team at the Women’s World Cup next summer in London. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of one of the biggest events in the international hockey calendar.

We are looking for young people aged between 15 to 19 to be in our Ball Patrol team. London will be welcoming 16 world-class nations from across the globe, including England, and you could be part of it.

Ball Patrollers must be fit, have a good knowledge of hockey and the rules, be able to follow play, understand umpire decisions and have good concentration levels during matches.

You can apply as an individual or as a group from a club, school or other organisation. A group can be from four to eight participants. Applications close on 8 December 2017.

A briefing pack and presentation will be supplied to support all interested applicants to prepare for their training and assessment and it will outline the role and skills required to be a Ball Patroller.

Shortlisted groups and individuals will be invited to attend training and assessment at England Hockey international matches and events in 2018, including the matches/tournaments identified in the Ball Patrol information attached. All applicants will need to attend a minimum of two matches for training and assessment.

Ball Patrollers will need to be available for a minimum seven of the total 18 sessions in the event. However it helps if you can give as much availability as possible across the event days.
