Team of the Week
Nominations have once again come in from up and down the country, here is your Team of the Week! Thank you once again for all of your fantastic suggestions.

The stories behind those selected include impressive debuts from young players making a big impact and two England internationals in fine form in front of goal!

Goalkeeper:

Name: Kirsty Mackay
Club: Bowdon Hightown
Nomination: Kirsty made several worldy saves including one which she headed over the bar! She helped her side to a valuable point away at second placed Surbiton.

Defence:

Name: James Albery
Club: Beeston
Nomination: James was named in England’s squad for the Azlan Shah Cup last week and found the net for Beeston to mark the occasion!

Name: Rob Foster
Club: Bloxwich HC
Nomination: In the centre of midfield Rob led his ten men with an injured ankle to a 2-1 win over North Staffs who had a full XI and three subs!

Name: Daniel Haley
Club: Burnt Ash 
Nomination: Daniel scored ‘an absolute worldy’ of a deflection for Burnt Ash before then captaining the club’s mixed team to success on Sunday!

Midfield:

Name: Cara Yeoman
Club: Kingsbridge & Salcombe
Nomination: Cara was described as a midfield maestro who made an assist, scored a goal and received player of the match as her side won 3-0!

Name: Susie Dunn
Club: Stokesley Hockey Club
Nomination: Susie worked tirelessly all over the pitch yet again. She put in a fantastic display in which she notched up two assists with some selfless passes. She was the youngest player in the team and was named player of the match for a second week in a row!

Name: Meg Murphy
Club: Pendle Forest
Nomination: Meg made her debut in midfield for the 1st XI and was awarded player of the match in their 1-0 win! The team have now gone 69 league games unbeaten! Meg put in an outstanding performance and also set up the winning goal.

Attack:

Name: Nicola Conway
Club: Lancaster HC
Nomination: Nicola neeted 5 goals and earned two assists against local rivals Garstang. This takes her tally for her first season with the club to almost 50!

Name: Hannah de Selincourt
Club: Cambridge City
Nomination:  Hannah scored two goals in the second half to draw her side level with Sevenoaks in EHL East. As well as this she put in a lot of running and great defensive work upfront.

Name: Sam Ward
Club: Beeston
Nomination: Wardy netted his 100th goal for the club as Beeston beat East Grinstead 5-2 to close the gap between themselves and Surbiton in top spot.

Name: Erica Sanders
Club: Uni of Birmingham
Nomination: The England international found the net four times as she guided her side to a 5-0 win over Clifton Robinsons which lifts Uni of Birmingham to the top of the Investec Women’s Hockey League Premier Division.
