#FlyerzWeek 13-19 May 2019

Flyer Hockey banner
Flyerz Hockey is going from strength to strength across the country and has become a really positive term for disability hockey in England. The second #FlyerzWeek is taking place between 13-19 May and we wanted to share a few things that are planned to whet your appetite.

The aims of #FlyerzWeek are to;
  • Showcase and promote all of the great work clubs are currently doing
  • Increase awareness of Flyerz Hockey to enable players to find their local sessions
  • Encourage new clubs to see if Flyerz might be something they could offer to their local communities

What is planned for #FlyerzWeek?

Whilst we want to keep some surprises for next week, we are excited to confirm #FlyerzWeek will include;
  • Olympic Gold Medalists and Flyerz Hockey Ambassadors Kate and Helen Richardson-Walsh take over Twitter. Make sure you are following @EnglandHockey and @FlyerzHockey on Tuesday 14 May between 7-8pm and you can submit any question to either account using the #FlyerzWeek. Everyone who submits a questions will have the opportunity to win exclusive prizes.
  • We will be coming live from a School’s Flyerz Festival on Wednesday 15 May. A great opportunity to see Flyerz in action with over fifteen schools coming together for a day of hockey.
  • National Flyerz Festival Sunday 19th May. Open to all players regardless if they are currently involved at a Flyerz club, the day will provide an opportunity to play at the national stadium, followed by watching World Class International Hockey as GB Men and Women take on Belgium. More details on the day and how to get involved can be found here.
  • The #FlyerzWeek Challenge with Flyerz Prices. Check out the demo video here and record yourself giving it a go. Don’t forget to nominate another individual, Flyerz Team, club or organisation to join in as well! The best bit is the challenge can be easily adapted (fewer spins, no spins, different sticks, sitting down etc), so anyone can give it a go!

How can I get involved?
