Rotherham HC Chairman James Swinscoe has thanked everyone across the hockey world for their support in raising money for the Chris Parke Appeal.

The club are going above and beyond to help raise funds for Chris, a member who was involved in a freak non-hockey sporting accident which at the time left him unable to breathe unaided and without the use of his legs.

He is currently at the STEPS Rehabilitation centre in Sheffield and is working hard to gain some independence but it will be a long journey for him and he will require extensive medical assistance.

Rotherham HC have run a number of events to help raise money, including a sponsored walk in 2018, and are now hosting a Silent Auction until 24 October as part of their appeal. Items up for grabs include signed shirts, signed GB pads from George Pinner, a signed Barry Middleton stick and more.
